AM26C32 is an improved replacement for?AM26LS32 IC. The AM26C32 device is a quadruple differential line receiver for balanced or unbalanced digital data transmission. The enable function is common to all four receivers and offers a choice of active-high or active-low input. The 3-state outputs permit connection directly to a busorganized system. Fail-safe design specifies that if the inputs are open, the outputs always are high. The AM26C32 devices are manufactured using a BiCMOS process, which is a combination of bipolar and CMOS transistors.

MAX3232-SMD RS-232 Line Driver
MAX3232 device?consists of two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit with ?15-kV ESD protection pin to pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND). The device meets the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and provides the electrical interface between an asynchronous communication controller and the serial-port connector. The charge pump and four small external capacitors allow operation from a single 3-V to 5.5-V supply. The MAX483, MAX487, MAX488, and MAX489 feature reduced slew-rate drivers that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, thus allowing error-free data transmission up to 250kbps.
The driver slew rates of the MAX481, MAX485, MAX490, MAX491, and MAX1487 are not limited, allowing them to transmit up to 2.5Mbps. These transceivers draw between 120?A and 500?A of supply current when unloaded or fully loaded with disabled drivers. Additionally, the MAX481, MAX483, and MAX487 have a low-current shutdown mode in which they consume only 0.1?A. All parts operate from a single 5V supply. Drivers are short-circuit current limited and are protected against ?excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry that places the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver input has a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the input is open circuit.
