Description of IQS231A Series
A self-capacitance controller called the IQS231A/B ProxSense® IC was created for applications that need the awake/activate on proximity function. For applications requiring long-term detection, the IQS231A/B is an ultra-low power solution that uses distinct release and/or movement detection.
The IQS231A/B can be configured using OTP (One Time Programmable) bits and can be used standalone or with I2C. In order to access all settings and provide the simplicity of a standalone output, it is also feasible to switch from I2C to standalone during runtime.
The IQS231B provides an alternative hardware option with the same firmware as the this device. Hardware from IQS231B offers a low temperature range and enhanced temperature response.
