Description of AP7165-SPG-13
A 600mA, variable output voltage, ultra-low dropout linear regulator is the AP7165. Circuitry for the thermal shutdown, pass element, error amplifier, band-gap reference, and current limit is included in the device.
When the EN pin is set to logic high level, the device is turned on. Power sequence control is possible via a Power-OK (POK) output.It is suitable for low to medium power applications, including as laptop computers, audio and video applications, and battery powered devices, due to its low dropout voltage and low quiescent current characteristics.
About 125 A is the normal quiescent current.Internal current-limit and thermal-shutdown mechanisms guard against IC damage in fault scenarios. The AP7165 is offered in the U-DFN3030-10 and SO-8EP packaging options.
