Description of TPIC6595N
TheTPIC6595N is an 8-bit shift register that is monolithic, high-voltage, and high current power and was created for use in systems that need a lot of load power.
For protection against inductive transients, the device has a built-in voltage clamp on the outputs.

All data in the output buffers is held low and all drain outputs are turned off when output enable (G) is maintained high.
Data from the storage register is invisible to the output buffers when G is kept low.
