The Mitel MT8816 is built with MITEL’s ISO-CMOS technology, which provides low power dissipation and great reliability. The device has an 8 ? 16 array of cross point switches, as well as a 7 to 128 line decoder and latch circuits. By selecting the relevant seven address bits, any of the 128 switches can be addressed. By adding a rational one or zero to the DATA input, the chosen switch can be turned on or off. VSS is the digital inputs’ ground reference. The analogue signal has a range of VDD to VEE. Chip Select (CS) enables the cross point array to be cascaded for matrix enlargement.
