In addition, it is compatible with RS-422. The driver and receiver outputs feature TRI-STATE capability, for the driver outputs over the entire common mode range of 12V to −7V. Bus contention or fault situations that cause excessive power dissipation within the device are handled by a thermal shutdown circuit, which forces the driver outputs into the high impedance state. DC specifications are guaranteed over the 0 to 70˚C temperature and 4.75V to 5.25V supply voltage range.
The 212 decoders are a series of CMOS LSIs for remote control system applications. They are paired with Holtek s212 series of encoders (refer to the encoder/decoder cross reference table). For proper operation, a pair of encoder/decoder with the same number of addresses and data format should be chosen.
The decoders receive serial addresses and data from a programmed 212 series of encoders that are transmitted by a carrier using an RF or an IR transmission medium. They compare the serial input data three times continuously with their local addresses. If no error or unmatched codes are found, the input data codes are decoded and then transferred to the output pins. The VT pin also goes high to indicate a valid transmission.
MCP2551 CAN transceiver
The MCP2551 is a high-speed Controller Area Network (CAN), fault-tolerant device that serves as the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. The MCP2551 device provides differential transmit and receive capability for the CAN protocol controller, and is fully compatible with the ISO-11898 standard, including 24V requirements. It will operate at speeds of up to 1 Mb/s.
Typically, each node in a CAN system must have a device to convert the digital signals generated by a CAN controller to signals suitable for transmission over the bus cabling (differential output). It also provides a buffer between the CAN controller and the high-voltage spikes that can be generated on the CAN bus by outside sources (EMI, ESD, electrical transients, etc.).
MAX3232 RS-232 Line Driver
The MAX3232 device consists of two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit with ±15-kV ESD protection pin to pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND). The device meets the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and provides the electrical interface between an asynchronous communication controller and the serial-port connector. The devices operate at data signaling rates up to 250 kbit/s and a maximum of 30-V/µs driver output slew rate.
Each part contains one driver and one receiver. The driver slew rates of the MAX485 is not limited, allowing them to transmit up to 2.5Mbps. All parts operate from a single 5V supply.The driver is short-circuit current limited and protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry that places the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver input has a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the input is open circuit. The MAX485 is designed for half-duplex applications.
MAX485ESA RS422 RS485 Interface IC
MAX485 is a low power transceivers for RS485 and RS422 communication. MAX485 contains one driver and one receiver. The driver slew rates of the MAX485 are not limited, allowing it to transmit up to 2.5Mbps.
These transceivers draw between 120µA and 500µA of supply current when unloaded or fully loaded with disabled drivers. MAX485ESA RS422 RS485 IC operates from a single 5V supply. LM2596S Adjustable Voltage Converter (TO-263)
The LM2596S series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that provide all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 1 Ampere load with excellent line and load regulation. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and an adjustable output version.
Requiring a minimum number of external components, these regulators are simple to use and include internal frequency compensation, and a fixed frequency oscillator.
