Broadcom® 6N137, HCPL-26xx/06xx/4661, and HCNW137/26×1 optically connected gates consist of a GaAsP light emitting diode and an inbuilt high gain photo detector. The detector may be strobed using an enable input. The detector IC’s output is an open collector Schottky-clamped transistor. At Vcm = 1000V, the internal shield offers a certified common mode transient tolerance standard of up to 15,000 V/s.
This one-of-a-kind design achieves TTL compatibility while providing optimal AC and DC circuit isolation. The AC and DC operational characteristics of the optocoupler are assured from -40°C to 85°C, providing for trouble-free system performance.
